Shooting Victims Call Police After Car Runs Out of Gas

The car transporting victims of Monday’s shooting were forced to call for help when their car ran out of gas.


Two people are in the hospital recovering from a shooting in North Highlands.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Greenback Lane and Main Avenue in Orangevale around 2:30 a.m. Monday. The car carrying two victims of the shooting ran out of gas, and they called for help.

Deputies say the men were shot at a party after some sort of argument in North Highlands.

No word on the extent of their injuries, or any leads on suspects.
