3-Vehicle Crash Clogs Friday Commute; 2 Hurt

SACRAMENTO-

Two people were hurt Friday afternoon in a crash between a big rig, a tow truck and a BMW.

According to the Sacramento City Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol say two people in the BMW were trapped as the car became stuck under the big rig.

It’s unknown what led to the crash, which happened on eastbound Interstate-80 near Raley Boulevard.

Both people were taken to the hospital. It was not immediately clear if anyone else was injured.

The crash severely impacted the Friday evening commute, as several lanes were blocked.
