The Stockton Police Department says a potential sale via Craigslist turned into a shooting Wednesday evening behind a 24-hour Fitness Center.

Someone parked  in the gym’s lot off Benjamin Holt Drive just before 6 p.m., in hopes of selling an item to an individual they’d arranged to meet on Craigslist.

The item in question was possibly an Xbox gaming system.

Instead of heading home with some extra cash, investigators say the seller was shot by the potential buyer and that the shooter made off with the console.

After initially being listed as critical, the victim was upgraded to stable condition about four hours after after the incident.

This case is  the second robbery- shooting  in Stockton in the last three days.

Witnesses who stepped in to help a man whose wallet was being taken Monday on Quail Lakes drive were shot at. Luckily no one was hurt.

The two suspects in that case are still on the loose as well.
