A gas line was ruptured Wednesday in Granite Bay, closing an intersection and leaving people being asked to shelter in place.

According to Pacific Gas & Electric, the 4-inch line was hit by a third-party construction crew that was digging in the area.

Auburn Folsom Road was closed at Eureka road for part of the afternoon, but PG&E fixed the leak, and reopened the road a little after 4:30 p.m.
