Water Main Break Slows Response to Fire Following Napa Quake

A mobile home park sustained serious damage following a 6.0 earthquake in Napa County.

The quake hit around 3:30 a.m., centered near American Canyon, north of Vallejo.

The fire started after the quake, destroying four mobile homes. There are several others that were damaged.

The fire spread quickly because responding firefighters found a water main break. Water had to be trucked in to put out the fire.
