A man accused of assault along the American River bike trail reportedly has a reputation for being aggressive toward other cyclists.

Investigators say Gregory Araya attacked a woman last month. When FOX40 spoke with her, she said the man pushed her from behind on the trail.

"When I said, 'Don't put your hands on me,' he turned around and got even more ballistic, pushed me down again," she told FOX40 under the condition of anonymity.

Araya has since bailed out of the Sacramento County Jail.

The woman Araya allegedly attacked says he's been aggressive with others on the trail, even spitting on some people.

Araya is scheduled to be arraigned at the Sacramento County Superior Court on Tuesday.
