The River Cats ended their season Monday afternoon after losing to the Reno Aces, 2-1 at Raley Field.

If the River Cats had won the game, the team would have went on to the Pacific Coast League playoffs.

"This has been the biggest series of the season for us" said River Cats spokesperson Mark Ling. In the past 15 seasons, the River Cats have made it to the playoffs 11 times.

And with Monday's loss, also came a big loss of hours for nearly 400 seasonal employees who work at Raley field.

The Reno Aces will go to the playoffs Wednesday. Their first game is against the Las Vegas 51's.
