OAKLAND (KRON) — according to KRON in the bay area, the West Oakland BART station is closed because of “civil unrest.”

Protesters gathered near the station have shut down all trains passing through the area.

BART station agents say the demonstrators are holding train doors open.

Protesters are locking and chaining themselves to the entrances of the train, which is currently empty.

There is no Transbay service in either direction until further notice.
