Hundreds of volunteers packed into Memorial Auditorium Sunday to assemble supply kits for homeless kids in northern California.

The non-profit "K to College" raised more than a half a million dollars worth of materials.

They were sorted into 10,000 school supply kits and dental kits.

"K to College" says they hope the event raises awareness about the needs of homeless children.
