ROSEVILLE-

Some deserving children at Kaiser Roseville got a special Christmas Eve visit Wednesday.

Retired Sheriff's Deputy Michael Wright, dressed as Santa Claus, and some "elves" stopped by to deliver gifts to 250 kids.

"I think the biggest problem is trying to fight back the tears, especially when you're Santa Claus," Wright said.

Wright started the program 19 years ago with just one family, and it has grown ever since.

Parents like Tricia and Jackson Kataoka couldn't hold back tears after spending weeks at their son's bedside.

"It is just magical and wonderful that Santa finds us no matter where we're at and brings joy," Tricia told FOX40.
