LINCOLN-

A young boy, found wandering near a rural area near Lincoln, will likely be reunited with his parents soon.

The boy, believed to be 10 or 11 years old, was found early Sunday morning near a chicken ranch. Placer County Sheriff’s deputies say the boy is not disabled. It appears he has not been in the country long, and speaks limited English.

He was not able to provide investigators with the names or location of his parents after he was found.

Someone who knew him saw his photo during news coverage Sunday evening and called Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies think the boy walked from where his family lives in Antelope to the ranch location.

The investigation is now being handled by Placer County Children’s System of Care.
