James Gorman was killed in his car in Stockton.

Stockton Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy for the deadly shooting of a Stockton father.

James Gorman, 30, was shot and killed Sunday along Dalewood Street. According to detectives, the father and aspiring rapper was confronting a 17-year-old for allegedly stealing from his son earlier in the day with the accused shooter.

Police arrested both teens. The 17-year-old was booked into Juvenile Hall on robbery charges. The 16-year-old was already in custody on an unrelated charged. Police say he shot Gorman while out on a “weekend pass.”
