Police have arrested a 21-year-old woman in connection to a string of burglaries at a senior citizens’ apartment complex.

The Roseville Police Department worked with managers of an apartment complex on Madden Lane to solve a series of burglaries.

The apartment complex’s staff learned a young woman was going into apartments at night while the elderly residents were asleep at home. The thief was stealing cash, bank cards, jewelry, and prescription medication, and allegedly used one resident’s bank card.

Police interviewed staff and witnesses, and identified Haleigh Ann Carrigan, 21, of Sacramento as their suspect for the burglaries. Carrigan is a relative of one of the complex’s residents.

Police say they searched Carrigan’s home on December 30th and found stolen property connecting her to several of the sixteen burglaries reported at that complex, spanning between early July and late December.

Police believe she was scoping out the apartment complex during daytime hours, stealing keys, and then returning back at night to steal from the apartments.

She was arrested at her home in south Sacramento without incident.
