Police in Madera say a man was arrested for driving under the influence after he fell asleep in a fast food drive-thru.
Phillip Rodriguez, according to officers, drove through the lane twice early Sunday morning – falling asleep the second time.
Restaurant staff were reportedly unable to wake him up.
His car was in drive when he fell asleep, officers say, but his foot was on the brake. A police cruiser was parked in front of Rodriguez’s car to make sure it didn’t start moving again.
Police say Rodriguez registered a blood alcohol level of .16.
Madera Police posted a video of their encounter with Rodriguez on the department’s Facebook page.
