Sacramento County Public Health officials confirmed Wednesday that there is another pending case of the measles in the greater Sacramento region.

This comes the same day the region’s first suspected case of the year tested negative.

Officials would not confirm where the new case is, but it is within the area of Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado and San Joaquin counties.

A lab in Richmond received the sample Tuesday, and results are expected as early as Thursday.

A Public Health spokesperson confirmed this case is not connected with the Disneyland outbreak.
