Stolen Dump Truck Smashes into Sacramento County ATM

A dump truck, reported stolen two days ago, was found Wednesday morning, crashed into an ATM.

Around 5 a.m., Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies received a silent alarm from a company monitoring the Safe Credit Union kiosk along Howe Avenue near Hurley Way.

Deputies arrived to find the dump truck had smashed into the ATM. The machine was not missing any money.

The driver was gone by the time deputies arrived.

Investigators ran the license plate and discovered the dump truck was reported stolen two days ago.

Now the challenge is removing the dump truck from the scene.
