Health officials in Sacramento County say a patient suspected of having the measles tested negative for the disease.

A juvenile patient went to a Sutter facility in Elk Grove area on Januray 14 with symptoms similar to the measles. After more tests were done, health officials now say the patient tested negative.

Health officials noted that there was a second possible case in the Sacramento region, pending test results. Those results were expected Thursday.

More than 70 people have tested positive for measles. Most of them have contracted the disease after visiting Disneyland in December.
