PHOTOS: Firefighters Rescue Cat Stuck in Tree, Yes they Still Do That

Firefighters respond to a wide variety of situations, involving a wide range of victims. Some firefighters in Fairfield were called out to rescue a cat from a tree Thursday.

The feline had become wedged between two branches, and was unable to free itself. The cat was stuck about 12 feet above the ground. Firefighters were able to reach the animal and free it.

According to crews on scene, the cat suffered only minor injuries. It was transported to a nearby shelter for treatment. No word on how the cat is doing now.
