The driver of a big rig veered off the road on Highway 99 near the town of Nicolaus early Tuesday morning.

Crews Working to Get Big Rig Out of Ditch

A big rig is stuck in a ditch off Highway 99 near the town of Nicolaus, just south of Yuba City. This happened just before 3 a.m. when the driver veered off the road.

It’s reported the truck was transporting around 45,000 pounds of paper.

The driver went to seek medical attention, and was later arrested for driving under the influence.

Traffic in the area is not impacted, and clean up is expected to take a couple hours.

Suspect Injured After Leading CHP on Short Pursuit

A suspect is recovering after being apprehended by a Police K-9 on 48th Avenue and Yosemite Street in South Sacramento.

Around 1:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle after noticing it was having mechanical issues. The driver pulled over before taking off soon after.

The driver then crashed the car, and took off on foot, leaving the passenger in the vehicle.

That passenger was immediately arrested, and officers set out to track down the driver.

With the help of a Police K-9, authorities were able to obtain the driver.

The suspect received medical attention before being taken into custody.

Couple Robbed at Gunpoint at Roseville Movie Theater

Roseville Police are searching for two masked suspects involved in an armed robbery in the parking lot outside of the Century Theatres in Roseville.

Last night, a couple was approached by two men in a car. According to police, the driver pointed a gun at the couple, while the passenger got out and demanded the contents from their pockets.

The couple was not injured during the confrontation, and it was reported that they proceeded into the movie theater.
