Students at Christian Brothers High School are working on bowls, empty bowls. They will be part of the River City Food Bank's annual event next month where fundraisers fill those bowls with food for a good cause.

The event raises more than $150,000 to help the food bank provide healthy meals to Sacramento County families all year long.

The event this year is March 9 and 10, and is expected to feed around 1,400 people. Tickets areĀ $30 or $70 depending on whether people would like lunch or dinner. Eventgoers select a bowl, made by one of these Christian Brother students or another student from one of the 20 schools taking part.
