KNIGHTS LANDING-

It was all hands on deck, for area law enforcement that converged in Knights Landing on Tuesday night, to search for a missing 20-day-old baby boy.

His mother, 22-year-old Samantha Green, was reported missing, along with baby Justice Rees, by family who last saw them late Monday morning.

More than 24 hours later, a resident in the area of Ridgecut Slough, heard and saw Green as she yelled for help.

“She said it was 20 days (old). She was with the baby, that her baby was dead,” resident Richard Vallasenior said. He helped Green after she said she crossed the slough, and dialed 911.

And so the frantic search began for Justice Rees.

“All she can remember was that she was abducted here in town," Villasenior said. “She was pretty bruised up and scratched up. She says she’s been out there for about two days. “

An ambulance took her, disheveled with tattered clothes, to Woodland Memorial Hospital.

“I know it was pretty cold last night. It was supposed to freeze last night, so I know she was very cold," Villasenior added.

Deputies took off on ATV’s, on foot and in the air, searching for baby Justice, along and above the levy. Less than a mile from the slough, officers spotted the SUV Green had left in with justice. It was discarded where Ninth street dead ends.

FOX40 spoke with family, shortly before Green turned up.

"The majority of the baby's stuff was left at the house, formula, blanket that she normally has with him," Green's sister, Aissa said.

Samantha Green's mother, Wanda Cozart said her daughter hadn't contacted family or friends which stretch to Solano County.

“I’m kinda like speechless," the baby's father Frank Rees said. “I just hope they’re alright. I want our baby back, both of them.”

“We want her to be safe and we want baby to be safe," Cozart added.
