Bon Appetit is a unique company that prevents imperfect food from going to waste on farms and distributes it for use. Alisa Becerra speaks with Chef Marco Alvarado of University of the Pacific, which participates in the Imperfectly Delicious Produce Program, about how it works.

The University of the Pacific in Stockton has taken measures to cut down on food waste and was even listed among the Sierra Club's America's coolest schools list for several years. The university has also partnered with Bon Appetit to expand its Robb Family Garden on campus, which is currently under construction. Kendra Bruno, the university's sustainability coordinator, explains to Alisa Becerra.
