A Honda Civic that was carjacked with a child inside on Mother’s Day has been found, Stockton Police said.

Two people were found inside the vehicle. Investigators don’t believe the driver and passenger who were in the car were involved in Sunday’s kidnapping.

The car was stolen from in front of a home on East Lindsay Street. The boy was inside the car when his mother ran back inside the house to say goodbye to family. As that was happening, a man jumped into the car and drove off.

Police said the boy had minor injuries after jumping out while the car was moving.

The car was found Wednesday at Sierra Nevada and Freemont Streets. It was not immediately clear if anyone was in custody.
