Homemade Explosive, Meth, Heroin Found Inside Vacaville Home

Solano County sheriff’s deputies located a homemade explosive  device Wednesday while serving a search warrant at a home on Shady Glen Avenue in Vacaville.

Deputies evacuated surrounding homes and the Napa County Bomb Squad  removed the device from the home and detonated  it in the front yard.

Detectives also located methamphetamine, heroin and prescription medications for sale inside the home.

Adam Brookwood, 25, of Vacaville, was arrested inside the home without incident.

Brookwood was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of narcotics for sale, and manufacturing an explosive device. His bail is set at $30,000.
