Sacramento County Deputies say a man broke into McCreery's Home Furnishings in Sacramento possibly searching for something to steal for drug money.

One man is under arrest after he broke into McCreery’s Home Furnishings on Auburn Boulevard near Watt Avenue on Wednesday morning.

According to Sacramento County Deputies, an alarm went off around 2 a.m., and when they arrived,  it didn’t seem like anyone was in the building.

After searching the area, deputies noticed the back door of the building was open. They later discovered someone inside with a flashlight looking around.

The suspect started to walk out of the store, but then turned around and walked back inside.

Deputies tried to get the man out of the building, but he wouldn’t come out.

They then sent in a K-9 to apprehend the suspect. He was then arrested and taken into custody.

Deputies believe the man was on drugs, and was inside of the store searching for something to steal to sell for drug money.
