Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies say a shootout between cars led to a crash, power outage and one man's death late Tuesday.

Investigators say the exchange of gunfire was heard near Franklin Boulevard and 44th Avenue.  According to deputies, the shooting led to one car crashing into a pole at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 46th Avenue.

About 300 customers lost power, according to SMUD's website. Power was restored overnight into Wednesday.

One man was found shot inside the car. He died a short time later.

Investigators say the second car involved in the shootout is a grey or silver sedan, and had not been found as of Wednesday morning.
