Sac PD Investigates Two Saturday Morning Shootings

The Sacramento Police Department is investigating two shootings Saturday morning.

The police department got multiple calls of shots fired around 5:01 a.m. near the 2700 block of Rio Linda Blvd.

The victim of this shooting is a female adult in her 40s.

She suffers from life-threatening wounds and is still listed in critical condition at the hospital.

The second shooting took place around 5:10 a.m. near the 2200 block of Beaumont Street.

The victim of this shooting is also a female adult in her 40s. She suffers from a non-life threatening gunshot wound and is in stable condition.

There is no suspect information for either shooting.

Officers are canvassing the area. The shootings are being treated as separate for now but detectives are looking into the possibility that the two cases could be related.
