The numbers coming into Sacramento this week for the U.S. Senior Open championships are impressive.

Total number of people expected to watch golf is around 150,000 bringing in between $17 and $18 million in estimated economic revenue for the city and surrounding areas.

However the biggest windfall for the capital city may come in the form of TV viewers.

"The Tournament will be broadcasting the hundred plus countries and we've provided the Fox Network with video with the features are city," said Mike Testa with the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Testa and city officials are hoping for an impact similar to what happened in the cycling world with Amgen tour of California came to Northern California.
