Several of Sacramento’s most popular food trucks provided some of the city’s homeless free meals on Monday at Loaves & Fishes.

Drewski’s Hot Rod, BaconMania, Wandering Boba and Dogtown, among others, were parked in the Loaves & Fishes lot to create a fun, street fair-like atmosphere, and a brief but welcome respite from the heat.

“Many of our guests bear the burden of physical disability, mental illness or old age. Others are just poor,” Loaves & Fishes’ Sister Libby Fernandez wrote. “All will be welcomed with music, smiles, and really delicious food.”
