A 56-year-old Modesto resident was killed last night when a vehicle struck him near McHenry and Fairmont Avenues.

The victim was treated on the scene before being transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old David Boozer, stayed on the scene after the accident and has been fully cooperative with the investigation.

The cause of the collision has yet to be determined, but drug or alcohol impairment do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
