STOCKTON —

A man was arrested Saturday night after he allegedly attacked two men with a Samurai sword in Stockton on  El Dorado Street and Jefferson Street, police said.

The suspect, 36-year-old Lymon Melton, confronted the 38-year-old victim and demanded his money while holding a large knife similar to a Samurai sword, police said.

When the victim refused, Melton allegedly struck him over the head. While the victim fought back, another man came to help defend him, but was cut on the hand.

Melton fled, but was apprehended by officers a short distance away.

The first victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for a large laceration on his head, down to his skull, and is listed in stable condition. The second victim was treated for minor injuries.
