SACRAMENTO —

Fans of the Republic FC team are being offered the opportunity to really get involved in the team’s future.

Sacramento Republic FC announced Friday fans and the public will be able share ideas and give feedback on the development of the proposed MLS stadium Downtown.

The first phase of this process will be gathering the public’s opinions on design and architecture through an online survey and a series of public workshops.

The survey will be available online until August 20.

Random survey participants will be chosen to participate in small group workshops with Republic FC and their stadium design team. The workshops will begin next week.

A full concept design for the new facility is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

“Fan and community input are essential to our club ranging from the creation of our brand to the atmosphere at our matches,” said President Warren Smith in a press release. “Listening and engaging fans, and the neighborhoods surrounding soccer stadiums, goes back to the origins of the sport and is woven in the fabric of it today.
