Two Suspects Arrested for Robbery at Vacaville Sports Authority

VACAVILLE —

Two suspects were arrested in Vacaville around 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, after officers received a report of shoplifters fighting with Sports Authority employees.

The suspects, William Wiley and Chanel Hardwick, were seen concealing merchandise in large bags and attempting to exit. When confronted by staff, one began to fight with employees and the other threatened to use mace.

When officers arrived, the suspects were also found to be in possession of a vehicle recently stolen out of Oakland.

Wiley and Hardwick, both Oakland residents, were arrested on multiple charges including robbery, vehicle theft, outstanding warrants, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy.
