Around 9 a.m. Saturday morning Roseville police and fire responded to a collision.

The crash between a 2005 Toyota Camry and a 2004 Suzuki XL7 SUV happened on Baseline Road at Brady Lane.

The Camry was turning left from Brady Lane and was hit by the Suzuki that was traveling east on Baseline Road.

An 18-month-old baby was ejected from the back seat of the Camry. The baby was transported to UC Davis’s pediatric trauma center and is expected to survive.

Police say there was a child safety seat in the back seat of the Camry and it hasn’t been determined why the baby was ejected.

The drivers of both cars and a second passenger of the Camry were taken to local hospitals with moderate injuries.

The crash is still under investigation; alcohol and drugs are not suspected at this time.
