Taco Truck Driver Shot in Stockton

The driver of a taco truck is in stable condition after being shot near East Bianchi Road and West Lane in Stockton on Thursday.

The Stockton Police Department identified the shooting victim as Jose Cobain.

Stockton police say two suspects approached the truck armed with handguns. The suspects demanded money, but employees refused. The suspects fired their weapons, hitting Cobain.

The suspects then fled on foot to a silver Toyota 4Runner, which was being driven by an Asian woman.

One suspect is described as a black male about 5-feet-5-inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, wearing a black hooded Nike sweatshirt. He had a black handgun.

The second suspect was described as a black male, about 5-feet-5-inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black pants. He was carrying a semi-automatic handgun.
