Writer and Twitter comedian Jon Hendren appeared on The Daily Share on HLN for an interview about NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, who joined Twitter this week.

The interview begins innocently enough, with anchor Yasmin Vossoghian asking Hendren whether or not Snowden is a hero.

Hendren’s username on Twitter is @fart.

As the interview turned to why some consider Snowden’s actions dangerous, Hendren began referencing a different Edward S.

“Absolutely, he could have (harmed someone), but, I think to cast him out, to make him invalid in society simply because he has scissors for hands. I mean, that’s strange,” Hendren said. “People didn’t get scared until he started sculpting shrubs into dinosaur shapes and whatnot.”

Vossoughian continued the interview, ignoring the strange response.

“Edward Scissorhands is a complete hero to me,” Hendren said.
