Fox 40 is a proud sponsor for the California Capital Airshow. The event is celebrating its 10th year, and organizers planned for a special event- the first ever night flight show on Friday evening.

We spoke to pilots, fans, and photographers who say watching the spectacle live is one of their favorite experiences of the year.

"I love airplanes because it goes fast and makes loud noises," Daniel Dungan said.

He is displaying his T-28 at the Airshow. He had been flying professionally since 1958.

"I like how they're built and how they sound," 9-year-old Devan Garcellano said.

After coming to the Airshow, he said he wants to become a pilot when he grows up.

The event continues Saturday and Sunday at Mather Field.
