Students at James McKee Elementary are training for a marathon, of sorts.

Monday morning, former Sac State All-American Lea Wallace dropped by the school to talk to the kids about becoming a professional runner and her current run at the Olympics.

Wallace and the Sacramento Runners Association are throwing a so-called MaraFUN-Run on Dec. 6, the same day as the California International Marathon. More than 500 students from James McKee will compete in the 2.62-mile run.
