While strong, straight line winds pummeled Modesto on Christmas Eve, Ceres had a tornado.

The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado Friday, saying it touched down at Davis Way and Central. It traveled to Park East Drive and Vinewood Drive before dissipating.

Meteorologists classified the tornado as an EF0.

Aside from some broken fences, no serious damage or injuries were reported.

Another tornado was confirmed in El Dorado County. Both touched down at roughly the same time.
