SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Two teens were airlifted to safety after falling more than 50 feet from a hiking trail at Orange County’s Modjeska Canyon.

County Fire Authority Spokesman Steve Concialdi says fellow hikers heard the boys crying for help and notified authorities Saturday.

A sheriff’s helicopter crew spotted the teens near the Harding Truck Trail and called in a fire department helicopter crew to hoist them out.

The Orange County Register reports one boy suffered cuts and abrasions on his legs, while the other was not injured.
