One Person Hurt in South Sacramento Shooting

SOUTH SACRAMENTO —

The Sacramento police investigated a shooting in South Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon that left one person injured.

The shooting happened near 55th Street and 38th Avenue about 3:30 p.m. Nearby Peter Burnett Elementary School was briefly placed on lock down, but the lock down has since been lifted.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
