Gas crews in San Joaquin County rescued a baby owl earlier this month, Pacific Gas & Electric said.

The 3-week-old great horned owlet was found Feb. 2 on McDonald Island. Workers believe the bird fell from a nest in the rafters of the gas compressor station.

A makeshift shelter was made out of a cardboard box for the owlet, later named “Hoo-lio,” before it could be returned to its nest.
