The man pulled from Steamboat Slough Monday afternoon has been identified as Prasad Moparti, who reportedly wandered off from his daughter’s wedding reception more than a week earlier.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified Moparti late Monday night.

Moparti, 55, was found five miles downstream from the Grand Island Mansion, where the reception was held.

The search for Moparti was called off three days after his disappearance. He arrived in the U.S. from India a month earlier, and some family members noted Moparti had been suffering from depression.

Investigators do not suspect foul play. The exact cause of his death has yet to be determined.
