One Person Dead, Intersection Closed Down After Crash in Davis

One person is dead and an intersection remains shut down after a crash in Davis on Wednesday evening.

Police say a Honda sedan was making a left turn from Cantrill onto Second Street about 5:15 p.m. when a Ford Taurus station wagon driving at a high rate of speed T-boned the Honda.

The driver of the Honda has been identified as 71-year-old Cynthia Ann Jonasen. She was killed instantly, police said. There were multiple people in the Ford who were transported to an area hospital for their injuries.

Investigators are still at the site of the crash.

The roadway is expected to be closed down until about 10 p.m. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
