WOODLAND —

The Woodland Police Department is asking for the public’s help with a death investigation.

William Hodge, 62, was transported to the hospital on Jan. 22 because of an injury.

At the time, Hodge wasn’t able to give a statement and the seriousness of his injuries was not known.

On Feb. 2, Hodge died from his injuries, the cause of which is still not known.

Police say there have been rumors circulating that Hodge was in a physical fight before he was taken to the hospital. Detectives have not been able to confirm any of the rumors.

They are asking anyone who knew Hodge or talked to him between Jan. 16 and Jan. 22 to contact the Woodland Police Department at (530) 661-7818.
