Instagram announced a big change to your feed Tuesday.
Mirroring Facebook’s prioritized newsfeed, Instagram will use an algorithm to show its users the posts they might care about the most.
“As we begin, we’re focusing on optimizing the order — all the posts will still be there, just in a different order,” a post on the service’s blog read, adding the change will take effect “in the coming months.”
Facebook (and to a lesser extent, Twitter) uses a similar method of organizing news feeds.
Instagram say users manage to miss out on about 70 percent of his or her feed.
So far, not everyone is on board.
