Arson Investigation Leads to Arrest for Involuntary Manslaughter

STOCKTON —

A woman was arrested for involuntary manslaughter Saturday after a man was found dead inside a shed that was burning, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Stockton fire responded to a trailer home and shed fire at 6:22 a.m. in the 2100 block of E Taylor Street. When they arrived, crews found a man dead inside of the shed.

Homicide detectives worked with arson investigators, and ultimately arrested 26-year-old Sarah Josephine Zavala for involuntary manslaughter. Zavala was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
