A man was taken away in an ambulance after a standoff at a home in North Sacramento.

Sacramento Police say the man had barricaded himself in a home along Belden Street and Alamos Avenue. A 1-year-old child was in the home with him, officers said.

The standoff began as some sort of domestic dispute, police said, around midnight Monday morning.

The man ultimately surrendered not long after 6 a.m. He was taken away in an ambulance after police said he may have had some kind of overdose.

No one else was harmed.
