Last time for Love Your Car we talked about how air conditioning works. This week John Hutchinson from Red Rocket Auto Tech is in the studio with Paul discussing possible problems if your air conditioning blows only warm air. There are a couple of things that can be causing your air conditioning system to blow warm air:

  • Refrigerant leak
  • Compressor not turning on
    • Low refrigerant level
    • Wiring problem
    • Seized
  • Too much refrigerant
  • Frozen lines / Restriction

In most cases if something goes wrong with your air conditioning system, your best bet is to swing it by your local mechanic to be sure you're correcting the right problem.
