TURLOCK —

Turlock Police Department detectives have identified one of the two men suspected in the burglary of the Veteran of Foreign Wars on Linwood Avenue in Turlock.

After viewing the surveillance tape from Tuesday they identified 32-y140407_TurlockReleaseVFWBurgear-old Ricky Dean Beets Jr.

He is wanted for burglary and possession of stolen property.

The second suspect still needs to be identified.

If you have any information on Beets’ location or on the identity of the second suspect contact Turlock PD’s dispatch at (209) 668-1200.

Manuel Sandoval is the chief financial officer at VFW Post 5059 on Linwood Avenue in Turlock.

He told FOX40 the two white males seen on surveillance video hooked a chain up to a tow hitch on a white pickup truck and tried to drag an ATM out of their side door.

After many failed attempts at getting the machine, Sandoval said they left, only to return a short time later with a tool they used to try to break into the ATM.

When that also failed, Sandoval said they stole three bottles of liquor from the bar and two historic but inoperable rifles from a display case.
